Indications

  • Appropriate indications for the rabbit are not yet agreed upon. 

  • Cannabidiol is a popular active substance employed by lay people in the management of chronic pain, neuropathic pain and seizures in major pet species and man.

Suggested MSE Dose Range

  • 1-15mgkg, PO, q12-24h; typical staring dose is 2.5 mg/kg, PO, q12h. 

  • Effective doses for rabbits appear higher than those being administered to and considered suitable for canine patients (Isaev et al., 2022; Rooney et al., 2022).

  • In major species 2.5 mg/kg, PO, q12h is commonly employed alongside traditional therapy.
